  • Track Coach (2019-2020 school year) - need 6 coaches
    • Looking for coaches with reliable transportation to coach 10-20 kids twice a week.  Coaching opportunities will be in Ansonia, Shelton, and Seymour. 2 per location.
  • Milk & Honey Program Volunteer (year-round – immediate need) – need 3 volunteers
    • Looking for dependable volunteers with reliable transportation to pick up food donations from Panera Bread in Milford, CT on specific Thursday nights at 945 pm and bring the bread to the Shelton, CT office immediately after.
    • Looking for dependable volunteers to set up food every Friday morning specified shelter location.  We are currently feeding veterans in West Haven, CT.
  • 10K Hours Math & Reading Program Volunteer (2019-2020 school year) – need 2 volunteers
    • Looking for dependable volunteers with reliable transportation to coach 8-10 students through a preset workbook every school day, 5 days a week, up to 1 hour. Students are elementary and middle school aged.
  • General Office Work (year round) – need 2 volunteers
    • Looking for volunteers with reliable transportation for general office tasks in our Shelton, CT office.  One day per week up to 2 hours.
  • Event Volunteer (as needed)

 

Service After Service is a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award.  Although you may not be looking for recognition, your service could be just what inspires someone else to get involved.

Eligibility:

Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

President’s Lifetime Achievement Award: Individuals who have completed 4,000 or more hours in their lifetime. As of February 18, 2019, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be temporarily suspended to evaluate programmatic and technical components.

* Two or more people, with each member contributing at least 25 hours toward the total

 

Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States.
